Anyone know if an alternator from a 98 crown vic will fit the contour? Just wondering because I can get one from a wrecked cop car. I figured it would be a pretty powerful alternator. Thanks in advance.
I doubt it will fit, and probably not more powerful than the stock one. Our's are 130amp, don't really need more than that unless you've got a SERIOUS system (above 2k watts).

Yeah my lights dimmed a little from just my HU, alternator won't change that,, battery maybe. But slightly dimming lights isn't a big deal.
