I was returning from Tulsa where I caught Texas Chainsaw Massacre with a few friends (at the cinemax over by union). Anyways we are coming back and a deer jumps out from no where. I clip its but with the right side of my car before it gets out of the way. Anyways it sucks, I have had my car for a month and now its all trashed. She'll go into the body shop this week, probably tuesday. Anyways here are some pics of the the messed up bumper, broken light, and missing grill.

That's actually not bad, unless there is more than what's shown there.

Sucks either way.

I definetely consider myself lucky. I think if I hadn't previoulsy lived in an area overrrun by deer I wouldn't have reacted the way I did. My parents always taught me that if you are gonna hit a deer, don't slow down. If you slow down your car has a tendency to shift weight forward and act as a ramp sending the deer right through you windshield. Anyways the girl that was in the front seat with me had her eyes closed when it happend, and was extremely surprised that I didn't swerve or do anything dangerous. Anyways, I know I am lucky and that 600 or 700 dollars of damage isn't the worst...

yeah, my great aunt has a contour (95 gl, t-red, zetec, atx, NO other options), and the low hood and such doesn't work well with large deer (bucks? i'm not a hunter... can ya tell?). the one she hit got the windsheild, but then went on top the car and off one side. totalled the car, but she got it fixed anyway, looks good as new.

Bucks are male deer. Doe's are the women. Bambi's are the babies or fawns. They have spot's their first year. It help's em to be camouflaged.

dude i hit a deer about a year ago this time at 60 mph and holy shittzee did it mess my car up. around $5500 damage of which a good portion was due to the airbags coming out. if you have ever experienced the deployment of air bags you will never forget it. this scared the hell out my kids who were in the car with me. i think this year i will mount a couple of uzi's on the bumper and put the triggers on the steering wheel
