I've searched the posts and cannot find a topic relating to a Turbo Kit available for an automatic Contour Sport with the Duratec 2.5L engine.

Any ideas or websites I can check out? Will the stock tranny accomodate the extra hp if a kit even exists out there?

Thanks!

The kit does not fit the slushbox Contique. There was one kit installed in an automatic, but it was changed to an MTX for the install.

That's pretty crappy news.

I guess I'll have to invest in an F150 Lightning SVT!

is the fitment issue have to deal with the bottom of the supercharger unit hitting the slushbox or the hood, or both

The slushbox is much larger then the MTX. Therefore it does not leave enough room for installation.

Now a turbo would be smaller and may be easier to fit, but you have to remember it requires exhaust pipes to and from it. Without looking at a slushbox car (basing it on the tight MTX fitment) I would say the exhaust downpipe from the turbo would not be able to be made large enough.

A turbo would fit fairly easy on an atx.... zetec that is. Turbo goes in front of engine and there's enough room for rest of piping above tranny and especially if you move the battery to the trunk.
