I'll stack up Sony's $149 dollar headunit against anyone elses...
Seriously, comparing Sony's consumer grade units against a competitor costing twice as much doesn't get you anywhere.
I have many Sony components, not just car audio, and I have generally had good luck with them. They are usually a pretty good value.

well exactly, you have other sony compenents. Sony is known for there home audio. We all know that. But like stated previously a guy with an all out sony system won a competition. So i guess it is all in the install.
I"m just waiting for a guy with an entire PYLE or PYRAMID system to kick some arse.

my friend had a pyle head unit, lasted about 2 months before it totally broke. you couldnt give me one.

$150 sony HU against any other? what about the alpine cda-9805. 3 4-volt preouts for some good clean sound and with a reliable name like alpine. $155 shipped. i'll take it over any sony in that price range

How about the Sony CDX-M630? Seems to be available online for 160.00 and has more features than the Alpine. It will always depend on what you are looking for.

well it looks much more attractive but i cant find the voltage on the rca's for the sony(which is important to me) i will take an alpine over a sony. alpine is a name i know i can trust. and i wouldnt trust a motorized face from sony. they don't have the best history with motorized mechanisms
