Hi. I have a 98.5 Mystique LS with 85,000 miles on it, stock rims. Thinking of replacing my tires. I've noticed this morning's paper in DC that Continental CH95's for $52.99 each or Bridgestone Eager for $49.99 each for 205-60R-15.

Can anyone recommend one or the other? Both seems to have wear and noice problems according to posts on the web. Thanks.

I work for firestone and maybe i'm biased, but I see alot of tires everyday, and would suggest the eagers. I see many continentals with defects, i.e broken/spereated belts, tread flaws and so on

Thanks for the info. The salesperson actually recommended the Continentals because the softer Bridgestones will wear out faster and will be louder. However, after some searching, I did come across a lot of people who had problems with the Continentals as you have described. Postings on the web suggest that German made Continentals were better than the American made ones due to slight differences in rubber composition.

I have had the Continental CH95's in the past and they wore much faster than they should have. They handled well and rode smoothly, but they just didn't last. I'm not familiar with the Bridgestone Eager so I cannot comment. From what you have said, I would keep looking.
