The valve bodies that are built at Mckees rocks are updated with the sonnax valving and tested on a ANSWERMATIC TESTER powered by a TRANX-2000.
I agree with your logic that replacing with OEM will cause the same failure to occur over time.

Subject: Rebuilt CD4E Valve Body Question
I recently ordered a rebuilt Ford FWD CD4E transmission valve body from you and have a question. Do you rebuild the valve bodies using OEM Ford parts or do you modify the valve bodies and use new (updated) bypass valves (i.e. by Sonnax) and accumulator pistons? I only ask since I understand the original Ford design is prone to early wear of the bypass valves resulting in poor oil pressure to the torque converter and the "torque converter slip code" my Mystique is sending to the computer.
Thank you for your time. I also want to thank you for the prompt and courteous service your Dallas personnel extended to me (Jim in parts and Hugo at the sales counter).
