i have a vct zetec and it randomly stalls out, after the tach goes wild. i know i need to change my transmission fluid, but could that be the problem? i also put a crankcase ventilator on it and removed the stock hose, but i undid that once it started stalling out. i have reset the computer by removing fuses 4 and 11, but it still stalls. should i go to a dealer to get it checked out? it happend before, and the dealer ripped me off. would it be smart to invest in a high performance chip, or would that only add to the problem?
