So I had the SVT in the dealer today for the dash kit to be installed for the warped dash.

I was relieved that it wasn't the ugly metal plate that some have described...just the inch deep black plastic strip that holds the dash down at the base of the windshield. They seemed to do a pretty good job, and the vent plastic is also back in place reasonably nicely.

My warping wasn't too bad, although it was uniformly curled along the entire span of the windshield, and I do not live in a warm climate either.

Apart from them trying to charge me $45 in parts, plus 4.5 hrs labour, I'm reasonably happy. The car didn't go for a joy ride, and the dash is tight and rattle free.

So for those of you who are hestitating - I'm offering my decent experience with this matter. However, a lot will depend on the technician's ability and patience.
