I need to change my rear sway bar bushings and end links on my 97 Contour and would like to know your opinion on what is the best to buy. I saw the urethane bushings on BAT ($6.50/ea.), but didn't see any end links on their site. There are the bushings made by Energy Suspension, but they only seem to list ones for the 98-00 Contour and not the earlier models. Does this matter? I'm assuming I have a 16mm sway bar as that seems to have come standard on these cars. Without upgrading to a 19mm bar (can't afford it right now), what would be the best, longest lasting, & quietest bushing/end link? Thanks for the help!

I got my svt (19mm) rear sway bar for $25 shipped, sure you can't afford it? I believe performancefords.com sells better than stock end links.

I just got back from AutoZone and they carry Energy Suspension bushings and end link grommets, but don't carry the 16mm or 19mm set. Anyone know where else I can buy a set of Energy Suspension 16mm bushings (#9.5154)? Also, is it easy to replace the end link grommets or do you need a special press/tool? Thanks!

SP Motorsports sells poly bushings. The end links are plug and play. No special tools.
