I am approaching the 50k mile mark and I want to get the water pump metal impellar and DMD done. Is Pro-tech the best in our area to work on our vehicles, since I am not good at turning wrenches?

SP is over 70 miles from me...but I was referring to the quality of work and overall knowledge of our vehicles. By the way that distance doesn't bother me, I commute to Silver Springs for work.

I DON'T have any first hand experience with them, but I have been told they are not cheap, and work on primarily SHO's. I'd go elsewhere, especially given the distance in case you had any problems.

Kevin is an excellent mechanic, though he, like others have said, can be pricey. At the same time, I don't think he is very fond of the Duratec Contours. If you honestly that worried about it I know this can be hit or miss, take it to your local Ford dealer. the WP takes i believe 30-60 minutes and the DMD is pretty easy to. If a dealership messes that up....well then, they are retarded.

I wouldn't bother with the water pump. I have almost 90k on my original! When it does go, it only takes 30 min to replace! I'll probably wait and do my at 100K. Find a reputable local shop, don't bother with protech or dealerships!

The problem with America is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment
for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety
labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
