So yeah, I was driving down a street on which there were probably 8-10 cars waiting to make a left-hand turn into a CostCo gas station....As I'm passing this line of cars on the right, one person was letting a car squeeze through, and as soon as that car pulled through and I saw him, I hit the brakes and started to cut the wheel to the right but it was too late, my front left quarter hit his car (88 Olds).

Luckily we were both alright, though his car's radiator was leaking and couldn't be driven. Mine is drivable, but the front left tire is seriously rubbing against the fender well. Definately an unsettling experience, but at least I'm ok . The car on the other hand, needs some work (headlight, bumper, hood, who knows what else). I'll try and post pictures tomorrow after work.

Man, I'm sorry to hear that Jess.

Glad to hear that you are ok - that's what's most important.

Post some pics so we can check out your work.

Dang Jess, that sux. But you're okay so that's cool. Question though, are you at fault for the accident?

Nope. The guy was coming through that line of cars to make a left hand turn onto a side street, and legally was supposed to yield to oncoming traffic (me). Though as with many things, we both could have been more careful. At this point I'm just hopeful that it will be resolved without any problems, but we both have the same insurance company which is a plus.

That's good to hear. Hope they fix your car fast.

Glad to hear you are okay Jess....a car can be fixed!
Any special body work you want done, now is the time to do it . Jess make sure they line your hood up correctly, order the front body kit, carbon fiber hood, ect., ect.
Just to give you something to gauge cost, my cost came to 7269.46. I had similar front end damage. Parts cost is ridiculous.

Dude, that sucks as*. Somebody just pulled out in front of my 'tour the other day but I kinda saw it coming so there's only rubber on my wheel and maybe 1/16" deep gouges in the front bumper.

Anyway, do what he said! Custom stuff! I should probably be PMing this info so nobody else jumps on it - know what? I think I will.

Anyway, glad to hear you're ok!

Craig, I certainly hope its not that much!

John I got your PM, I'll definately keep that stuff in mind. Right now I'll sit tight and wait to see what the initial repair estimate is going to be and go from there.

Though I guess it shouldn't be a huge issue as I've got full coverage, but I don't know if I still have to pay the deductable or not if it wasn't my fault, anyone know?

Took pics this morning while I was (still am) waiting for my coworker to pick me up.....

If you are not at fault you will not have to pay your deductable.

I hope your damage is not that much. When you look at your estimate you will see all of the cost and the parts are the kicker. Thank God for full coverage!
