I'm the original owner of a 95SE(Duratec) - and I remember all the fun I had working *with* the dealer to get a serpentine belt that wouldn't slip when hitting puddles.

Last I recall, the fix involved a diverter plate and a different spec belt. Well, I've let mine go entirely too long without changing it (the belt) although it doesn't seem ready to snap quite yet -- but just like our water pumps, I'm thinking about changing it.

I'm curious if the aftermarket belts are up to spec or if I would recreate the original problem if I didn't choose an OEM (or just the right) part?

I used a belt from autozone or advanced autoparts cant remember but i think its the same belt anyways, havent had any trouble on my 95 with puddles since.
