My headlight housing unites are fogging up, especially around the area behind the len and the clear plastic backing. Anyway to clean/ clear this? Do I need new assemblies? Thanks.

They sell kits for clearing them up but they do not work, because i tried them on my 91 mustang and it did not clear them up that much. Your best bet is to just buy new ones

Depends on the kind of haziness. Though some companies offer clear plastic cleaners - such as MeGuiar's Plastix - in most cases - in our cars - the haziness on the headlight lenses is caused by the innder vaporization and deposits on the inner surface of the lens, that can be removed only by disassembling the headlights, checking whether the issue is caused by non-hermetic sealing, and subsequent cleaning the inner part of the lens. To make a long story short - way too much PITA. I decided not to do it with mines...

if the hazing is on the outside just use some 1500 grit sandpaper and some rubbing compound on them it clears them up really nicley

I have a question about the rubbing compound. I already tried using the 1500 grit sandpaper with water and then the compound and it didn't really do anything. Is there a specific type of rubbing compound? The stuff I had was dark red. Thanks.
