Dude, no way you have searched and haven't come up with a straight answer. SC is unreliable and power is good but turbo is better. Street flight is reliable and power good, etc. Little more initial cost, but the best investment. And no way you searched or you would know the itsturbo kit doesn't even exist.

umm yeah, the ITS turbo doesnt even exist for all we know. Street Flight has been tested and proven to produce 292 fwhp on a stock svt with a yo dude exhaust iirc. Highest tq is somewhere in the 275 fwtq ballpark. Vortech has had some issues with the jackshaft and oil seals. Highest ive seen on a stock svt is 270 fwhp (282 modded) which is about what most of the street flight kits are putting out, BUT you gotta rev the motor to redline just to produce any power. fwtq for the vortech is in the 205 fwtq ballpark. Really low!

Just some numbers

3.0L Turbo on 5.75 psi = 300 fwhp
3.0L Vortech on 10 psi = 300 fwhp

Ok since we are on this anyway I would like to get the turbo but I will not have the ability to get it tuned in the states since the car will be in Germany. Will that be a big mistake. Can you just get a chip burnt that will get close without going on a dyno. I am in New Mexico right now but am headed to Europe. They keep changing were I am going so I cant say for sure it would be Germany but does anybody know of some place that may work with turbo charged fords over there. How close is the Mondeo to the Contour if I need parts. Thanks.

You'd have to get on a dyno AFAIK just to get basic a/f ratios, etc. down. Then street flight can tune to that, I think the car would run though maybe not run the best it could. And I'm sure there are places in England and maybe Germany that could help you out. The mondeos are real similar, I'm sure a lotta parts will swap though maybe not all. There are a lotta places in england that play with contours though mainly zetecs I'm sure they have a few tuned up duratecs.

Is it a US computer or would I have to special order the code? If it's a standard XGT1 computer I drive the same car. I'm sure I can tune that.

Thanks for all the input. It is a US computer. It is a 2000 Contour SVT that is still the 2.5 L. I just want to get it up to speed for European road systems. I had a SHO last time I was in Germany and it did just fine. The SHO was supercharged though, that is why I was trying to see about doing something to the Contour. With all the bad talk about any other type of forced induction on the Contour I think the SF turbo is the only way to go.
