I have 50,000 miles on my EO SVT and after reading the about the water pump failure saga, am going to prophylacticly replace it before it eventually explodes and strands me.
What I'm interested in is what have people's experiences been with the pump purchased at AutoZone with the metal impellers? If you can post the following info:
a) Has your Autozone water pump failed?
b) If so, after how many miles did it fail?
c) If it is still functioning, how many miles have you put on the new pump?
In this way, hopefully we can get a picture of whether the Autozone pump replacement is any better than the stock unit. Thanks!
