Yes, it was possible . The V6 was an option on the GL, standard on the LX and SE (pretty sure about the LX, positive about the SE). This is 95 - 97 model years... 98+ is a whole new ball game.

Pretty close, Perry. According to my '95 and '96 brochures, the V6 was optional on GL and LX, standard on SE.
The one pictured in the link looks exactly like my '95 GL V6 did (except for the bumper strips and black mirrors) the day I bought her almost 5 years ago.

Early 1998 GL's were similar trim level as 95-97, with the new styling. V6 or 4 avail.
98.5 to 2000's are the "new ballgame".
Mine's kind of a rare V6 combo, too
2000 SE fleet, V6, ATX, ABS, no spoiler, T-Green/tan. Built 01/2000 in MO.
Added 12 spoke factory SE rims, K&N. Biggest mod: ESP Plan!
