i may be only 18(and be studyin to be an engineer) but i beleive i have a very very good idea for a new type of 3,6,12 cyclnder engine...i dont want to go into too much detail, but i was wondering if there is any body that has an auto cad system and pretty good with it....
i got some basic ideas and thoughts in my engineering note book and wanted to know if anybody wants to help me transport these to some sorta computer design....for starters it has 6 cams 24 valves and a two stage intake manifold, 6 cylnder model has (2) 4-1 exhaust manifolds....
if this engine is possible to build...dont have to build it yet, but if it is...could be huge

Yeah, mine is for sell. I had to remove it because it made my car too fast. I kept getting pulled over by jet air planes.

Yes, you are correct, DOHC, 2 cams (intake and exhaust) per each cylinder bank.
Oh and if the engine itself is a 6 cylinder why would it need 4-1 exhaust manifolds, wouldn't it be 3-1? Since there is no 4th cylinder on each of the banks. Also just curious what the other 2 cams would do.

Think out side the box. You guys are thinking only 4 valves per cyl. Why not make it six valves per cyl. Volvo has 5 per cyl, or is it audi? In that case it would be TOHC. Eric

You obviously have no idea... The extra cam would be redundant. You can have 3 valves running of each cam.... Also the more cams etc you introduce, the more valve train drag you induce on the motor. The cons far outweigh the pros.
