I think I have come to the point where I might drop my car. I have 17" rims with 215/45 tires and the wheel gap is starting to get to me. I live in Chandler and go to school im Tempe, so does anyone know a good shop around here to do suspension work ? Basically all I want is springs and struts installed. I think im probably better off buying the springs and struts used or off the internet.
Oh yea, Im not really looking to spend $300 either, ive heard some people say its possible that it could cost that much. Any help would be much appreciated.

Not sure on the prices though...never checked into it.

Do you mean $300 total or just for labor?

Any shop could do it. Mineke, pep boys, almost any shop could slap that stuff on pretty quickly. It's not really that hard to do. And it shouldn't cost at MOST 150 bucks. I'm a shadetree mechanic, I've built a few engines and installed plenty of suspensions. If you need any help just let me know.

Also I work at a dearlership so I might be able to hook you up there if you want a "professional" to do it. Or I think Kieth at Streetflight could probably do it. If anybody knows about contours it's him. Just trying to help.

Our suspensions are not as easy as some. A few freinds and I changed the struts on my car in a mere 10 hours!!! It really sucked! Suspension is not really Keith's favorite thing to work on, of course I don't mean to speak for him, so feel free to ask. I would say that a suspension shop with the right equipment would be the place to go. I got my springs done (5+ years ago) by a guy back East that was used to doing Mustangs. He charged me $100 up front and cussed me for months after that!

my friends and i did mine in about 5-6 hours, first side took like 3 hours then the second about an hour after you learn how to do it. the backs take about an hour and a half for both sides. I just went to autozone and rented a spring compressor and the how-to from the main page.
