Not sure if it's like my 96, but if it is then..... Where the hose goes into the fuel pump there are 2 release tabs on the plastic base piece. Pinch those release tabs and gently pry the hose out. Don't break the plastic end as you can't by it by itself.
i thought so but i tried that and it wasnt working. i guess you just have to work it. the only thing holding me back right now is that so i'll have to go back out and try that. did you drop the tank or do it from the cabin?

Did it from the cabin.
You might need to use a small piece off wood and grab the end of the hose with pliers.
Use the wood under the pliers to give you lever effect to pry the hose up.
Of course while pressing in the tabs.
i got it. all i did was use a dremel to cut the area open more and then used a screw driver to push it off. i actually had to go back into it again today so im a pro now. thanks though!!!!! im back on track. now i just hope that fixed the problem
