Ok so recently I put my Nyceboi emblem up for sale in the classifieds.

I received a few emails one in particular I wanted to bring to peoples attention:


Attn Seller,
My name is chris,i am a reputable dealer of goods and services,i
buy goods for my clients.right now i have a client that is interested
in your said SVT Nyceboi for sale let me know the cost of your price


I though ok this guy is a little weird but if he wants the emblem and the other deals fall through then alright..... so I replied, well today this is what I got:

hello Josh Brower,
Thanks for your mail,i will like to see the picture of the SVT Nyceboi the price is okay by me (50$) And i will like you to make sure that the (SVT Nyceboi ) is still in good condition.Because i really want my client to have this (SVT Nyceboi ) and please do not saleto any other buyer and i will like want you to clean up the (SVT Nyceboi ) and get back to me with a quick response. I want you to know that I have a client who owes me$1,150. I will Instruct him to issue you a bank check or money order on my behalf, as soon as the bank check or money order Gets to you, I want you to go and cash it immediately from your bank and send Down my balance through via money gram transfer so that I will be able to pay my Shipping agent that will come and pick it up at your location and also I Want to use the balance for my business transaction. If this is okay by you, provide your contact details and phone number so that paym ent will be made out to you pls if realy you are intrested pls i am in need of the
following daters.

PHONE NO........


I have heard about scammers that do this and then they get your cash (because their check bounces that you cashed for them) AND they have your car.... you dont know this though until about two weeks after the fact..after you car, and money is already gone...

Well sad part is that I am only selling the SVT badge and not a whole car so none of this email makes any sense....

Just watch out everyone because they are on these boards.
This is the second instance I have heard about this happening on these boards.

Its definately a scam.

You may want to file a complaint with the FBI and perhaps the attorney general's office in your state.

I sent him an email this morning that

"he was full of ...."

Funny thing is I got this reply

Thanks for your mail, I will like to start by telling you that i am an agent working in U.K and working on getting what you want and i have a client who is in need of a (SVT Nyceboi ) and that i have settled with you,i will like to tell you that i am the middle man doing the transaction for my client so as to get what he wants,and that is way he is not showing up in this until he gets to see the (SVT Nyceboi ),i will like to tell you that the excess money drawn to the check that will be issued to you is for my comission,and he should have given me cash but he hasnon at hand and he should have issued me my check but here in africa an american check would not be cleared here and i do not have a domisilary account,so all i am asking is a favour for you to clear the whole money and cash it from the bank then you would do a money transfer of the balance to me as soon as the check is cleared,i will be expecting your reply soonest,i will really appreciate your effort towards this .So i will want you to get to with your Full Contact informations for the Payment to be on the way to your locations.

Now, I wanna place an ad in the classifieds for something weird just to get a funny email...

I can just see the email now...

haha. so is someone gonna get his email address and try to track this guy's IP address?

check out this post. this was just this past weekend. i'm sellingmy 3L se and i got the same thing. they copy and paste what you are selling into their generic e-mail. they accidently sent me one about a bike. and they won't go away!
