upper radiator hose broke, was able to fix, but now it presses against one of the radiator tubes ifo the exhaust shield it really presses hard against it, is it ok it they touch? dont they both reach the same temp, so melting should not be a prob. it hasnt melted yet, i just dont want any further probs

No, the water coolant hose shouldn't be touching the exhaust sheild. The do not get to be the same temp. You replaced the broken hose with an OEM replacement? If so, did you install it correctly (backwards, turned a little to much) ?? The heat from the exhaust shield will damage the hose if it's in hard contact. Get it fixed ASAP

it is not touching the exhaust shield, it is touching the coolant tube that runs in front of(ifo) the exhaust shield.

I'm sorry, I'm confused (that's easy to do!)
The new (reparied) coolant hose is rubbing up against the radiator itself, and not touching the exhaust heat shield itself? If there are no leaks, no wierd kinks in the new hose (where coolant flow will become restricted) and your temp guage isn't shooting up and you have heat, then you should be okay.
