I get your point, but the rx8 is the rx8, and mazda actually has a rx7 planned depending on how well the rx8 sells.
No kidding huh? I honestly didnt know about that, I thought the rx-8 was a continuation of the rx-7 line. Have they given any details or drawings of what this rx-7 might look like, or a date on when it might come out? -Nick
No date and no drawings (other than home-done ones) yet. I think it'll be a while before they do it, if they do it. I also think it depends on whether toyota decides to release a new supra or another manufacturer does something similar. The rx8 is already pretty nice and they may end up just doing a mazdaspeed treatment to it (project specs and pics are out there) and forget about the rx7.

I don't know you, but I do know something about Ford and the Petunia program. Are you sure you test drove them?
East Lansing (Go Spartans), Dearborn for the summer. Ok, let's assume you had an internship. I personally know HIGH level executives who have not test driven the car. Only 3 of which existed at the time. And someone tossed you the keys? To all three? Car # 1 is Bill's personal car. The first public example sold for over 550K at auction. The MSRP will be in excess of 115K. If your last name is not Padilla, Coletti, Mays, Pardo or Ford; I call BULLSH!T. Please prove me wrong.

Hey guys, I worked for Ford this summer as the crash test dummy for the GT40, so I've driven 10 of them for a short distance. Sweet cars! Later this summer I became good friends with Bill Jr. who gave me the keys to his GT40 and also let me drive one of his six Ferrari Enzos (he has three black ones, a green one, a pink one and one painted like a cow!) Then I test drove the next RX-7... and the new Supra... okay later all! I'm so cool!

I'm gonna have to agree with Trapps on this one, I know many engineers actually working on the program that haven't driven one . . .
