Check engine light came on and was diagnosed as clogged catalytic converters.
As they have a 7 year or 70,000 mile warranty, the dealer is replacing them at Ford's expense.
However as they come from an outside suplier, there is a two week wait while, I presume, the ore is dug out of the ground and smelted!
Anyone else had this problem?

You are not alone. I may be nursing same problem on my '97 and others have posted re plugged cats and their replacement, usually under 8yr/80,000 warranty.
