I realize that for many of you, Quizno's has been around for nearly 20 years, but it's just hitting the east coast now. I'm thinking about buying a franchise, and was curious as to your thoughts on the store itself (likes, dislikes, etc). It's a heck of alot of money to start one up, but it seems to have a proven track record out west. I'm hoping for the same over here. I love their food, but it is pretty expensive in comparison to the other fast-food joints.
Your thoughts?

I only went once and I hate that place.
I can't really remember but the subs they had all seemed a little non traditional and I had trouble finding one I would like.
They have been popping up around here and to tell you the truth, the parking lots are just about empty everytime I drive by.

I personally don't like Quizno's much. The sandwiches are ok...I guess...but what irkes me more is I always get crappy service. I've been there 3 - 4 times in my life, and only because my fiance likes their food. I prefer Planet Sub or even Goodcents to Quizno's.

It is funny you mention this, a co-worker and I were investigating this exact franchise, also in south jersey, a couple of days ago. Unfortunately, it looks like the market is saturating with Quizno's very quickly, it jumped from 1500 to 2000 franchises in 1 year! And South Jersey is running out of space for them. There is already a few in your area, Voorhees, Marlton, Berlin, etc. Maybe Atlantic City?

Its too expensive...I wasn't really crazy about it when I saw them dipping the meat into hot water to "juice" it up a bit before toasting...
I was all excited in July when it opened & realized after one try that I could eat at the really good italian restaurant around the corner & be served for less $$ including tip.
For the price of the sanwiches, you'd think there would be better methods & quality of meats. Not to mention costs of extras. I wish we had a deli instead... $.02
& service does suck...

What's the adage? Location, location, location? Quizno's is a niche. They depend on the lunch crowd, meaning you've got to be in the heart of a white-collar business America. They're more expensive than Subway, take longer, and they're food is more complex. This means you're average Subway flunky isn't going to hack it behind the counter because the clientele wants more class/service than Subway.
IMHO, unless you're area is sandwich shop poor I'd look elsewhere.

Cartman, can you remind us again what your occupation is such that you have gigantic wads of money coming out of your a$$??
As for the restaurant, I have never been to a Quizno's, but they definitely sound like they have a good idea going for them...might be worth the investment.

That's funny, I was just thinking of going to Quizno's for lunch when I read this. All the ones around here are great. You guys must just have some poorly run Q's. I've always gotten good service and good food. Yes, it's slightly more expensive than Subway, but it's worth it IMO.
Several months ago, my wife looked into franchise info, and it is pretty pricy to start one up. But like the guy said, if you've got a good location, it should do well.

Jimmy John's is where it's at. Hands down the best subs money can buy and the franchises are sprouting like mushrooms all over the place. If you want to make money I recommend you take a look at them. Quizno's is overpriced slop compared to JJ's

they just came over to atlanta i love quizno's. they do seem a little pricey...$8 for a sandwich and drink in comparison to under $6 for the same at subway or blimpie. i still buy it though.
