The rear passenger signal bulb apparently has burned out again (since the blinker is going very rapidly), even though I replaced that same bulb about 2 months ago. Why's it burning out so fast? Cant be the bulb.

I'm interested to see if this is a common problem, cause my rear driver side one has gone out a couple times.

My passenger side rear bulb has gone 6 times in 4 years. I always keep some in the glove box.

And I meant it's more than likely just the bulb, rather than something else car related causing bulb to burn out.

Maybe there's water in the taillight housing?
I had that problem--it seems that the black rubber piece on top fell off at some point. It covers a seam in the housing, which wasn't sealed quite perfectly and let water in.
I fixed it by covering the whole thing with silicone RTV.
