Hey guys! I hope you can help me out with this; my girlfriend's car, a 1994 Chrysler Concorde, has a big problem. When you drive it, the passenger side wheel shakes, and when you jack up the car and try to turn the tire side to side with your hands, it actually does turn a bit; the drivers side is stiff. The tie rod, which I'm guessing that's what it is, (It's the rod that connects onto the strut, almost looks like a small hockey puck) is on a bad angle and the rubber boot around it is gone almost. The black bar that connects onto it, and then connects onto the steering for the passenger side and then to that tie rod, is loose as well, and the bolt that holds on this black bar is backed off a bit. I can shake that rod (which I'm guessing is the control arm), so there's no way I'm going to let her drive it. The car needs inspected by the end of July, and it's not going to pass with this little problem.

Any ideas on how big of a job I'm getting into?

Your going to need alignment after the fix anyways, so why not drive it (slow and careful) to shop for estimate.

p.s. Transfer Contour title to girlfriend before departure (in case you don't make it). smile
