Keyser's car is quite...quiet. It sounds good, though. No drone, no rasp (that I've noticed).
However, while riding in his car, most of my attention was directed towards my brain's feelings of "HOLY CRAP WE'RE GOING FAST!!!"

Comparison to my exhaust setup - Keyser's is prolly a little quieter outside (can't say for sure), ~ the same inside.
(read: I've played with A LOT of exhausts setups, and my current setup is quiet w/ a slight hit of exhaust note under normal driving conditions)

Ok obviously have never driven a C5 of any caliper then. I'm a z06 fan. The car is breakneck fast and the looks are awesome. The 03 cobra is faster(by like a tenth) for $20,000 less, but you just don't understand. A cobra is still a mustang. CRAPPY interior, no luxury at all, and that Ford quality. Don't get me wrong, ford has done an amazing job on the 03 cobra, but there comes a time in life when the enthusiast needs a blend of performance and prestige. The 03 Cobra is a 20 year old's dream. But the vette is more refined and still has that Naturally Aspirated performance that when modded will take on the nearly anything. As you get older you'll understand. The guy I bought my SVT from now has a Jaguar. The Jaguar is faster and more luxuriouse than my car. He still has a 5 speed but the car is smoother and refined. I asked him why he was letting go of the SVT he said " The tires are loud, the ride is stiff, and I"m turning 40 soon".

Personally I want to be rich and drive all types of cars in my old age, but I know if I was limited to one or two "sports cars" and I couldn't by Aston Martins$$$$$$$$$$ I would deffinately get a Z06.

My car has no drone whatsoever! The system is slightly louder than the stock setup at cruise, but when you wail on it the exhaust opens up to the note of a turbo Supra with exhaust. You can't go wrong with the setup I have IMHO.

As far as getting an 03' Cobra over a ZO6....I'm not gonna open up and flame as Ford has done a decent job building the Cobra to be on par with the ZO6. But let's remember a couple things here....The ZO6 is N/A, weighs less, and you don't see too many "Nancys'" driving around 6cyl. Corvettes as you do with the Mustang. Motor Trend recently tested the vert base Vette versus the vert Cobra. The Vette won every category with the exception of hp/tq ratings, and price. Pretty sad....The ZO6 is a man's car while the Cobra is for someone who wants the ZO6 power yet can't afford it, kinda like the SRT-4 in place of the STI or EVO.

Turbos can make your exhaust sound wonderfull.

It took it 20k to do it, and the mustang is sad? lol.
I love z06s, but dollar for dollar the cobra is always the winner...The longblock is absolutely amazing. There is a cobra with over 800RWHP with a 100% stock longblock. Factory rods, pistons etc.

Uhm...I can afford it, hell my parts carrying truck was over 30k. I love vettes..but its not worth it

Thats like saying a Viper is a man's car while the vette is for people who think they can afford a nice sports car. lol.

Honestly, get the z06, but dont be fooled into thinking its hardcore with only 405 HP. Hell..my tow truck with a K&N and chip makes over 405. lol.

Now a z06 with twin turbos or a monster single(and a built lower end) /drool. But then your looking at viper pricing. Where the cobra allready has a hella strong foundation, and even a blower(that can be upped another 8lbs of boost, with just a pulley change...50-100 bucks)

Besides..havent met a z06 yet that can beat my super cheap 93 cobra ..

That's a good reply, and I did look at the Cobra's this weekend...It would be optimal for me to buy a Cobra, my mom works for Ford. But seriously, it would be taking place of something I really lust over...America's sportscar!

Oh i just read my own post, Sorry if It sounded harsh, I forget to add Smileys lol. I didnt mean to make the Vette seem crappy. Its a great car for people that want a nice balanced awesome car without having to do much. And it looks good too

But your mom works for Ford!, Man..you can get an 03 cobra for about 28-29k right now or better. Whats the debate!

(My friend works for Ford so I get X-Plan pricing, but if your Mom works for FoMoCo, then you can get A-plan!)
