How does the programming work on a 99 SVT FOB? I had an accident, and when I got it back from the body shop, neither remote works. I just had it at the Lincoln/Merc dealer, and they tried what their sheet told them to do, and couldn't get it re-programmed? HELP?

Tried that, it chirps like its going into programming mode, but nothing happens when I push a button on the remote. And yes, the remotes do work (dealer confirmed signal transmission).

Are they the same remotes you had before? If it does appear to be the same style remotes as you had before and still doesn't work; try having the dealer trade you another set of remotes to test. If the car itself is properly engaging into programming mode but not picking up the signal from the remote then maybe there's an issue with the antenna on keyless entry module. I dunno , those are my guesses. Have the dealer check it out again.
