As we speak im reading through forums and searching, i have removed all of the screws from my water pump, it says the 2 1/2's should just seperate correct? Or do i need to jam a screw driver in there and jam them apart. Any suggestions wil be helpful. Im gonna have lunch and then come back to see if i get soem replies..

The three longer screws go all the way through to the head, and hold the assembly on. If you have all the screws out, the assembly will be held in place by the hoses, and will move some. Now the halves can be separated. Use a large screwdriver, there is a spot on top wher you can pry. The halves will pop apart, and you will get some coolant . If you did not remove the short L-shaped hose from the thermostat, you may want to. I could not get the pump out otherwise. Good Luck

The gasket may be holding the the two parts together. Try popping the assembly apart from below the car by placing a large screwdiver between the two "tabs" (one on the pump, the other on the housing) and twisting the screwdriver.
Mine came apart easliy after doing this. Make sure all the bolts are out first!
