hey guys, how hard is it to replace a AC condesor? the thingy in front of the radiator? mine has a hole in it and lost all my AC juice.... i see a few on Ebay for 65 or so dollars, new they are like 160 or so... just curious if i should try to replace myself or just pay!?

I understand that having the work done is expensive, but unless you know what you are doing or have experience with A/C's, I would pay somebody else to do it. Too many expensive parts can be broken. Do you have any A/C equipment or experience? Items such as gauges, refrigerant, tools to detach and re-attach lines to condensor, a vacuum pump, etc. will be necessary. There is a great site that may be able to help you some: www.aircondition.com There are many experts here who will be happy to help you. I have heard from one person that you would also have to pull the radiator and fans, but another said the consensor would come out separately. I am sure somebody else will post to fill on you in better on the specifics. Good luck if youd decide to try. wink
