I have gotten Lance's approval and permission to offer to all CEGer's this extensive Detail Guide that I have put toghether. It is basically an extensive Detailing/Car Care Guide, that I did not actually write, but I found a site with some very good information, tips, etc., and I reformatted it in Microsoft Word and organized it accordingly. I orginally did this for myself, but I wanted to share it with the rest of CEG, especially for those who pride themselves in the appearance of their car. I have included pictures and every type of detailing procedure/application you can think of. I have already printed mine out, put the sheets in plastic sleeves and tabbed them with a numbered index. I am not trying to advertise to sell this information or sell complete binders. I simply want to share the wealth of having all of this info in one file, that is printable, and already organized for use. I spent about 3 hours copying, pasting, and formatting this file to its current state. Thanks for your consideration and time.

Here is the link to my Detail Guide in the How-To Section:

Detail Guide

This is my pride and joy. I hope you all benefit from it as I have. Some of you already have your own process and materials that you love and use, but for those of you wanting to learn some tricks of the trade, this is the bible. Enjoy.

*I've had this put together since late July, but Lance has been VERY busy and he had to approve the content and critique it and I got my approval today! Thanks Lance!

Excellent. I haven't read through it thoroughly, but it looks very comprehensive; a nice reference. Thanks!

Hear hear!

Peach: I printed the document, and stored it in a nice binder for easy reading. I'm moving into a new house in 2 weeks, and I'll finally have a garage... Your exhaustive guide is well-written and clear.

Thanks a lot for all the efforts you've put into this!

I'm really glad you guys can make use of this. As a hint, I put mine in a 1" 3 Ring binder, inside of those sheet protectors, (to keep it safe from tearing, moisture, etc) and I put two pages per protector (front and back)and only one per protector when I got to the end of one section. This way I could add the colored/numbered tabs inbetween the topics and quick reference them from the index. I have also added in the back of my binder several How-To's from this site and other helpful hints I've picked up along the way, and I put all of them in the same format in Microsoft Word so they match, and are readable. I now have a binder/guide specifically for my SVT and it is so nice to have everything I need at the flip of a page. I encourage all of you to do this as it will help out a lot and its just plain neat and impressive to be organized like that just for your car. Enjoy!
