OP WOLF24 Member W Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 96 Illinois	My 2.5 contour has 65K miles. Today as I pulled out of the gas station the battery light came on and will not go off. Does this mean my battery is bad? Could it be the alternator? I am 6 hours from home and need to get this car back home. Please help. 1995 Contour SE Fully loaded/Leather 2.5L V6

Batt light means theres a fault in the charging system meaning your car is running off the battery not the alternator charge. I'd say you have about 90 minutes of runtime on the battery before you car goes plop Thats what happened to me anyway.
