I almost hoped I'd always have a minor bug or two in the old girl so I could post here. But some dead-beat, scumbag, no account walked off with our Tour last night. The insurance will pay it off of course, but it's going to be tough to find a nice Contour in a day or two, and we have to have a car today/tomorrow. So I just want to say thanks to you all, especially TourDeForce, dbbubba, and others. I will be around, but it won't be the same. Ken Ken, 99 Silver Frost SE Zetec Atx, polished alloys, Kumho's, Pioneer hi power CD/AM/FM. Factory spoiler (added) Audi side lites, Borla stainless steel muff. Stolen, recovered in pieces. Looking for another Tour, preferably V6, 5 speed.

I really know nothing except the car was taken from it's parking spot. We live in a gated community, but it's not all that hard to just wait til someone goes through the gates and follow them in, there is no guard anymore, they cut the guard after selling all the condos, figures eh ? The cops said they recover 1 in a hundred cars. The wheels, the cd/stereo, 2 sets of brand new golf clubs, 100 cd's, and just some personal stuff will get pawned off somewhere, the car isn't all that desirable. No more so than any other 99 compact so why it got singled out I don't know. But it did. We actually have been needing to get something larger, but loved our little Tour so much we just were holding onto it as long as we could. It was a great little car, it's too bad the USA buying public never accepted it like the europeans did. See ya !
