I have green neons under my silver SVT. One tube on each side and one in the back. I couldn't figure out how to mount the tube in front without permanently removing the plastic shield under the engine. Anyway, they are not that bright that I would consider them distracting to other drivers but I have been warned by a state trooper that they are illegal in Pennsylvania.

I believe that neons are now old school. There are now tubes available with lots of LED's that allow you to have 7 colors or so (in one tube). You can select the color you want at any time.

When my neons arrived, my wife wanted to call the divorce lawyer. She still thinks they are tacky, childish, etc. but frankly, my kids love them. They call them "glow-lights". The only girls that I am impressing are in the "under 5 years old" category. I love to turn the lights on when my wife is in the car and wait for her to notice - she gets pissed.

But honestly, with the SVT body crap, the neon effect is pretty cool. You don't see the lights, just the glow. As I have said before, I estimate that the neon lights add about 30 HP - at the rear wheels!

I love skrillas car!!! I love the neons! I think they look good because of all the mods done to his car anyways! This coming from a girl who thinks modding a contique is crazy! (because of the trade-in or resale value) I hate wings on cars but skrilla's wing isnt bad at all. Its not an aluminum bus stop so no complaining here. To each its own but I love it.

on the contrary, i believe that modding is a good idea because ytour not gonna get as much as you bought it for anyway, so why sell it? mod it all to hell and have fun with it...but thats my philosophy... ... dont hurt me

You should do it. But there are some things to check for:

1. Make sure there is enough room on the sides to hide the bulb. I have them on my car and there isn't much room to hide the bulb, it actually sticks out about halfway . Yes, I put them in myself (me and some friends)but trust me, the only way to hide them on my car would be to get side skirts (which I am planning on getting someday). There is so little room under my car.
2. Are you willing to change your style of driving? You can't jump train tracks, go fast down dirt roads, and gotta watch out for curbs.
3. Do you want the po po on you? I don't know about the laws where you live but here you can't drive with them but they can be on in the parking lots. On more than one occasion, I have had cops pull up behind me in a parking lot and ask for my license, etc and try to convince me that they aren't legal at all.

All in all, I think they are a good investment and I love the attention my car gets because of them. Go for it.
