I have A 98 Contour SE without premium Sound. I just bought some nice Pioneer 3 way speaks for the front and rear doors. I was wondering do i have to take off the door panel to put in the new speakers? I can't just take the grille off right? If anyone has any help that would be great thanx.

Yes you have to take off the door panels. There's an article floating around that shows you exactly how to do it. I couldn't find it but maybe someone else can post it up.

Off the top of my head:

2 screws on bottom of door panel, 2 on each side of the door panel, 2 behind the insert in the door handle, 1 behind small cap inside door handle area. And I don't care what anyone says, you do not have to remove the defrost vents to get the door panels off, I never did. It is easiest to remove the door panel with the window down.
