I have a 2000 SVT, and the previous owner had the warped dash fix kit installed (consists of a black plastic piece that replaces the defroster vent and is secured with rivets to hold the dash down where it was warping). Now, the one section of the front edge of the plastic piece where there are no rivets or anything (and I am assuming that it was originally glued down) has a nice bow in it, where it appears to be coming unglued. Does anyone who has had this done had this happen, know of a glue that I can reapply to fix it??? Or some other fix. Thanks.

I have the same problem on my car but I dont know if there is a fix. This was my third dash and Ford does not replace them anymore. Well they said no on mine anyway. I think they just used bad adhesive on these cars because my doors are doing the same thing but I just reglued those down my self with some stuff called dubble bubble.

I'm confused but more than willing to help:

Which plastic piece? The defroster cover? The vinyl dash bit between the vent and the windshield? ????

Which "front" edge? The edge facing the driver or the windshield?

[Installing the "fix" right now so I feel your pain! ]
