My 97 Tour has just turned 60,000 and my extended ran out. Not like it did much anyway?LOL.......
I am noticing that when I get on the throttle until the secondaires kick in (WHICH THEY DO KICK IN) I feel like three stages of hesitation? ALmost like missing? So at first pull when I let the clutch out I notice this till I climb to 3500rpm.
It almost feels like a miss or a sputer? I changed the fuel filter about 5,000 miles ago and cleaned the Throttle body.(Carb cleaner that is)
Could It be plugs? Should I have them changed? I am not getting any CEL's. The only light I get is the water light but that was due to ford replacing a header and removing my water tank for the antifreeze. They must have woke up a sensor. I should replace the sensor. I am not heating up at all the temprature stays at the "N" in normal on the gauge and gets to the "R" in traffic with the air on. SO I know its nothing there?
I also noticed that the car is using about a quart of oil every month? What could be up with that? I have NO smoke but I did not check the water for oil  ...I sure HOPE NOT....
Thanks
for any info... Also what would a dealer charge me to do the plugs? Are they a bear???
Spankey
