My 97 Tour has just turned 60,000 and my extended ran out. Not like it did much anyway?LOL.......

I am noticing that when I get on the throttle until the secondaires kick in (WHICH THEY DO KICK IN) I feel like three stages of hesitation? ALmost like missing? So at first pull when I let the clutch out I notice this till I climb to 3500rpm.

It almost feels like a miss or a sputer? I changed the fuel filter about 5,000 miles ago and cleaned the Throttle body.(Carb cleaner that is)

Could It be plugs? Should I have them changed? I am not getting any CEL's. The only light I get is the water light but that was due to ford replacing a header and removing my water tank for the antifreeze. They must have woke up a sensor. I should replace the sensor. I am not heating up at all the temprature stays at the "N" in normal on the gauge and gets to the "R" in traffic with the air on. SO I know its nothing there?

I also noticed that the car is using about a quart of oil every month? What could be up with that? I have NO smoke but I did not check the water for oil :rolleyes: ...I sure HOPE NOT....

I was having the same kinda problems. It would stutter and sometimes pop out of the intake. Not throwing any codes, but I took it by Autozone to get any codes pulled. I got p 0174(Bank two lean) which means the lower front o2 sensor is bad. I replaced it, still same problems. A few days later is when I noticed oil in the water. I'm not sure if it's all related, since I haven't had any problems driving the car. No noticeable loss in compression or anything else for that matter. I dropped it off yesterday and it's gonna be expensive. Don't mean to scare ya, but it sounds like me all over.

Thanks, I actually read up on what happened to you. HEAD GASKET right? $1300 for labor? **** NO.... I will drive this car till the wiper fluid is shooting oil on the windshield.... I am not even going to check into a head gasket.. I already dumped a clutch in this nightmare... I am not looking to dump another 1800 for more work....

Its such a shame, I love this car even though I would love an SVT...LOL...

I will keep an eye on the thing.... And my wallet....
