I have a 2000 SE. Need to change the rotors. One problem they won't come off. The brake and caliper housing is off. Am I missing a screw or bolt somewhere? Someone please advise. Also they (rotors) haven't been changed since I purchased the car (2001). Please advise. If you some pictures/diagrams that would be helpful, pass them on.

They may be rusted in place. That seems to be a fairly common occurrence, particularly if you live in a climate where salt is used on the roads. If so, a thorough soaking with WD-40 would probably help.

WD40 may help, but you will probably also need a big hammer to break the rotor away from the hub. They rust where the hub mates to the rotor and also where the center hole of the rotor meets the hub.

Before reassembly, clean off as much rust as you easily can with a wire brush, then apply some anti-sieze to make it easier to remove next time.

Time for a whack w/ a BFH. You're not using the rotors any longer so who cares?

Thanks for the advise. In the long run, the rotors were so thin that I could break away the outer ring. Whacking and prying for 45 each. My freakin arms are killin me. Buffalo's harsh winters don't help with the rust much either.
