Those things have some odd modifications made to them. The front manifold looks like it might have been extended to be right against the radiator - possibly a bad thing.

If I were spending my money, I would go to buckshot for the modded EMs & avoid those Ebay things.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

You'll need a total of 2 MIL eliminators. I went with the Dallas Mustang set, as they are plug and play and easily used on other vehicles. The set you're looking at requires soldering and I just didn't want to do it, or have the solder break in 2 years.

Nowhere in this thread did I see one important item:

If your car is less than 8 years old and has less than 80,000 miles, the catalytic converters are covered under the Ford Emissions warranty.

I just got both of my precats replaced under warranty (no cost) at 78K miles by a local Ford dealer. Was getting a P0430 code, but the dealer replaced BOTH of the manifold/cat assemblies.

ford told me that the warranty for 8 years or 80k miles is only for federal's vehicles and taxi. my car is only good for 7 years or 70k miles. is that true? I'm a bit over 76k miles right now so they wouldn't fix it for free.

A typical line of BS from your friendly fraud service manager. Call your stateā??s attorney general and file a complaint. Taxi and fleet vehicles usually have shorter warrantees not longer.

I donā??t know if I should laugh or cry?

Its 8-80.

jeff

have you fixed your ford lately?

The emissions warrany should be explained in your owners manual!
