I have recently got my Super chip reprogrammed and installed.
I have had in for 4 days now and just the last 2 days the car seems to be falling on it's face at times like the fuel is getting shut off and when this happens my security light on the dash (factory) comes on for 3 seconds. I'm going to reset the battery again and if it continues I will call Super chips. Anybody ever experience this?
Thanks in advance

Sounds like the chip is loose or the contacts are not fully cleaned.

Is this a new install (fresh jumpers soldered, port cleaned, etc)???

Does it do it without the chip? (like maybe a fuel pump or screens problem)

Demon hit it right on the nose.

Just recently, I installed my Superchips at the Dyno Shop - well after experiencing intermittent problems, I decided to remove the chip and call Superchips some days later.

It just turned out to be a tiny bit of dust messing around with the contacts, causing to fail at times.

Just take the entire computer out - one bolt near the Power Steering Resovoir and the bracket underneath. Unscrew the cover from the Computer so that you can get in there nice and easy. Make sure its clean. IIRC, the paper says to clean until you BEGIN to see some silver shavings on the cleaner. I didn't go that far but was close enough. 2 weeks with the Superchip - been through Boston twice (Friggin Big Dig bumps) and no problems so far ***knock on wood***

good luck. Hope this helps ya....

Thanks for your response so quickly. Bored too huh?
I will try to clean the contacts before putting it back in.
This is not a fresh install I've had the jumpers soldered for a year at least.
Have not tried it without the chip, but I will tomorrow, but I'm pretty positive that it is Chip related, but doesn't hurt to try different things.
Thanks again

Well I tried cleaning the contacts without taking out the puter.
The problem was still there.
I then drove my car without the chip and the problem was gone.
So today I took out the puter REALLY cleaned the contacts and started to put the shell back on when I realized that the jumpers I put on LAST year were touching each other frown . I resoldered the jumpers just to be safe and then put everything back together and drove home from work and......... Knock on wood no problem.

Thanks for your help
