I have a 98 Mystique with an SVT throttle body. When I'm accelerating it feels like someone stuck a rag in the intake when I reach around 4000 RPM, with a noticeable power loss. It does not do this in cooler weather (below 65 degrees or so).

Although I have a KKM cone filter and I'm aware of heat soak issues I was running the same filter with my old stock throttle body for over a year and I never noticed the problem. I don't think it's related to the cat, since I installed MSDS headers this past winter and a new, high-flow cat.

Any ideas?

No real ideas since it doesn't sound like the Cats. However small things like the fuel filter and spark plugs never hurt. Or seems like everyone including myself is having their O2 sensors go lately (heat related?) maybe that is having a negative effect. Most odviously though would be the secondaries, could be a bad IMRC. Hope this helps and if not try a search as that may turn up something. wink
