Hi guys, back here for the experts to diagnose my problem. My turn sighnal and gear shift doesn't work. I know the specific faulty fuse is in my fuse box because I had replaced the exact one in a friend's 'tour. My problem is everytime I replace the fuse, it would blow out again once I go back to parking position. I would replace it again, and the same thing happens again. It seems like something is getting shocked or something, but I'm not an expert in this field. Anyone ever had this problem or can help me with it? The turn signals are annoying cause I have to use my hand and I have to manually push the level in my gear shifter to get it out of parking everytime I start my car

What I meant was I have to use wave my hand outside my window to tell other cars where I'm turning.

I had the exact same problem...but it was when I put the car in reverse... I dunno...could be the same thing.
Look at the wiring harness in the trunk. I know it sounds odd, but this could be the problem.
The wiring harness for the rear signals and reverse lights runs by the trunk hinge. My harness was cut or worn thru right near the hinge where it was clipped to the frame. Because of the flexing motion when opening the trunk it split the wire, eventually causing a short. such that everytime I put the car in reverse I would blow the fuse that controlled turn signals, reverse lights, heating & cruise control (12amp)
It could be this simple - like I said its a starting point

Ok Tsai, I will try that, thanks. In the meantime, if anyone else had this problem, would appreciate your input in this. Again, thanks guys!

BTW, I remember a while ago I did throw a football and it landed hard on the trunk that made the fuse burn out. I replaced it and the signal came back and everything. However, today I did check the wiring and it seems intact without any spilts.. where else could I check or should I just have someone check what's wrong?
