if i wanted to run a nitrous system and i have a chip....could i just unplug the chip when i wanted to use nitrous or would i have to pull it and reset computer then use nitrous.....i was trying to avoid gettin a new flip chip...i like the way my cars runs with the chip it has, but i knwo i cant run nitrous with it now because the timing it too advanced,

How big a shot are you running? You're gonna need a chip (or other form of tuning) if you're running 50hp+ shot (i think).

pobally all i would run is a 50hp shot...but i have herd its addictive and would prolly bump up to 75hp...and as far as i have herd almost all stock componets could handle that...maybe a step colder plugs and 1.5degree retard...some sytems claim those #'s and say everythin can remain stock....i was basically askin with the chip removed would the timing be returned to normal or do you have to reset the computer after you take out the chip.

After removing a chip, you should reset the ECU.
