i read some of the comments about the plugs and i wanted to make it clear that im not expecting a huge hp boost. i heard they were good plugs from a buddy of mine who is into imports and has a FAST modded prelude. i figured at $40 if they only last 60k and dont even give additional power then they were worth the money. but i dont want to put anything in my engine that will screw it up either. id rather cut my losses now.

why bother when you can get autolite double plats for like $6 each? spark plugs aren't going to give you an HP boost, and only a minor increase in your gas mileage (unless your current plugs are in really bad shape).

You only want to install double platinum plugs. (use search - ad nasuem - sheesh)
Put the Iridiums back on Ebay. They will do you much better there than in your engine and that's for certain!

Here is a diagram of the D.I.S. that is used in the DuraTec ignition system. Note that one side actually must fire in the reverse direction. That is why the unusual requirement of two platinum firing tips.. one on the center electroid and one on the outer electroid. I have only found the two companies, Autolite and Motorcraft that have this option. DIS Coil Secondary Winding
