I have the worst luck, I swear.... I was comming home from work, and i was turning onto my street, and some kid who was on the curb waiting to go decided that it would be good to go right in front of me. So... I swerved around him, and smashed into the curb mad I was 3 houses away from mine, so I drove down and parked in front.Broken rim, flat tire, messed up alignment, and probably a whole lot of other stuff that I don't even know about yet. I'm glad i didnt hit him, but the kid looked about 14, so I thought he would stop to see if I was ok, but he got scared and took off. I guess I can't really blame him. Damn, things jst keeping getting worse and worse for me this summer. I'm going to have it towed tonight, and then checked out on thursday...

My brother did the same thing to both his cars, but it was his fought both times. One car was repaired and sold and still is rolling. The other one had too much damage and was junked. I hope your's isn't too bad. One way to check, see if the strut tower is bent.

i hit a curb when i was 19 in my rabbit gti...that was when i was young and dumb and thought driving drunk with friends was cool  shocked

i was parking next to my buddys house so we could guzzle beer (right on the street as the cops never ever came into the community)...i got a little too close and hit pretty hard...flattened tire but didn't notice any wheel damage

a funnier story (since it didn't happen to me, but to some ricer from u.c. irvine) about 3 yrs ago...behind the apt is a Y shaped intersection with a nice sweeper to the left...anyway i was in my room and it was raining....

vrrrrrrooom (farrrrrrt) comes some honda boy (i wasn't looking out the window but could hear everything) to make the left turn at speed...i hear him power slide right into the curb...hard...no screeching just sliiiiiiide bam...then i hear him back up and haul ass down the street.... laugh

Ouch. Glad you didn't hit the (dumb) kid. He should have known better. frown

I have a few to add. smile About a year and a half ago my buddy and I were out clubbing in my car. I got plastered so I let him drive home. It was snowing and my rear tires were probably about 3/32 of tread. He decides to set cruise, at 70, in 4" of snow, on the freeway. I am asleep so I don't know hes doing it. I wake up to, "****! ****! ****! ****!" I can feel the ABS in the passenger floorboards and he is doing his best to try to keep the car going straight. I opened my eyes and looked out the passenger window to see where we were going. I was all groggy from being asleep. I looked forward and noticed we were sliding right for a concrete divider. I remember thinking, "Please don't let the airbags go off. The front tires bounced off of the embankment (we were going north and the south lanes were banked for the curve, we actually slid INTO the turn) the car spun around and drug the tail against the divider. You can still see the teal paint from my `tour on the divider. mad

I was racing in my 2 month old Focus. Lost control, skidded over a 6" curb into a HUGE landscaping boulder. Again I was praying that the bags wouldn't pop. I hit, heard the crunch pass through the body. When I realised that the bags were ok, and the car was still running, I slammed it into reverse and drove all of two houses to my friend's house. I guess thats what I get for racing through a 90 degree curve, in a neighborhood. shocked

Check the alignment of the hood. If it still aligns fine with fender, grille & headlights you probably have nothing serious. If not your front subframe may have to be straightened :-(

Happened to me once. In a 1983 Ford Escort.

Good Luck!

There doesnt seem to be any body damage, but the wheel is slanted, so I think there will be some damage to the suspension or somethin like that. Who knows....

We had an Infinity G30 come into the body shop last winter. The poor lady drove over a median at about 50 mph. The front shocks blew up through the towers and she cracked all 4 rims. The side skirts were crushed and the tranny was busted open. The front air dam was jacked too, of course.

Here's the kicker: we fixed it! Against all odds the car wasn't totalled. Looked neat though.

1994 Ford Aspire 4-door, looks like a big egg
*64 hp 4-cyl
*5 speed
*"13 steel rims with go-cart tires
*74 mph top speed
*I'm going to auto-x the thing (but not compete)

Since the wheel is bent, it's very possible you have some serious strut damage. Hopefully your frame is still good though.

my brother had a 94 passat vr6 that got slammed into on the freeway maybe 3 yrs ago....front and rear damage since he was pushed up between car in front of him and the one in next lane ahead....once again against all odds they fixed his car...something like 10k damage but he owed 14...and the ass end clip was crooked after the repairs

i forgot i did a really cool powerslide while driving an 83 stanza hatchback..actually a decent car and the nap z engine was spunky but the handling was non existent...again showing off for a buddy (not drunk tho) and took a hard turn and the back end let go and slid into the curb....i bent either the rim or the axel i dunno but i traded that car in on my rabbit gti wobbly rear right wheel bald tires and no brakes
