need some advice
took car in and every part they touched they dammaged
looking for some repair help ,and some leagle too may come in handy

i'll explain....
had wheel bearing , tierod end , battery , altanater ,

durring bearing the had too heat it and hammer out,we ll after driving it i heared a clicking noise i look at cv to find they mealted the cv boot , futher inspection i found that the iner boot ripped from the fourse , and some leaking at tranny
they replaced boots said joints should be fine , ??????

the battery they put in wasnt the one on my bill (650gold)and was almost touching hood , so they pulled out old one to measure and i took old one home , i got it tested , midas said wont hold charge , we ll tested fine and can tire charged it for me and it s in car now

the alt they put it ...we ll they didnt put one in they charged me for one thought , i complained , they insist its a new rebuilt one . even thought i marked it 2 years ago for different reasons
durring the prosses they said a fuseable link blue (which i think was the whole prob in first place) so they changed and had to remove vac line above to do it and never hooked back up
we ll this caused my engine to flop arouned like a fish and heat right up and i dont now if it dammaged any thing (yet)

now car is pulling to left where dammage was and some vibration through the shifter at low speed , sterring is off
and some kinda chattering noise im thinking iner cv bit not sure

been back to re aline and check they say fine ????

Most attorneys will take a case like this on a 'if we win I get a percentage' basis. I would talk to one and normally the attorney can surmise if they have a 'win-able case'. It sounds like you have at least a case that could be won for nothing else other than maybe just restoring your car to it's original condition. Some states will automatically give an attorney his fees, some states you'll have to sue for those fees. But any good attorney worth his degree should be able to tell you within 30 minutes if the laws in your state cover shoddy or inept machanics. You may also be able to recover some funds for 'implied usage', which means you can get back your costs of having to go back and forth and be without a car. But only an attorney can tell you that, and most will offer a free consultation to see if you have a leg to stand on. Call the state bar association in your city and they will refer an attorney to you after you explain your predicament.

And, sometimes just having an attorney call the repair shop will put the fear of God in them and they'll pay up, no questions asked. But go see an attorney right away.

Not to be a hardace , but I would read your post prior to posting it to ensure major grammar and spelling mistakes are corrected. I had to read many sentences over to understand what you wrote.

Regarding your posted question. Having had similar experiences with a girlfriends car, a siblings car and at times my car, the best you can do is to negotiate having the work done properly (which may cost you even more) or paying someone else to do it for you. Unfortunately not too many lawyers will jump on your side since it would be a very aggravating fight for little reward. Again, I suggest you as pleasantly as possible negotiate with the dealer.

I sued Monkey Wards in small claims court years ago and won.

What I was entitled too and got was:

- repair cost to fix damage
- cost of rental car for time my car was out of commission

What I was NOT entitled too was and didn't get was:

- Any pain & suffering
- punitive damages

I received about $1,200 in settlement.

Laws can be different from state-to-state, but it's worth a shot.

If you do talk to an attorney make sure you tell them that you are interested in finding out if you have a case, and are looking for a free consult. cstraw is right, sometimes you'll pay much more than you'd spend just to have it fixed, but if you do it right you should have no attorney fees for just finding out. And if you've documented everything you may be able to win in small claims court, but if you're not prepared, you'll get hammered, because Midas will be prepared, even to the point of lying, but if you can't prove they're lying you'll be the liar. Every major city has attorneys that donate their time to the community, if nothing else just for questions like yours. Take some time and find out, make your game plan and go forward. That's the best advice you can get anywhere.

as someone else said above, my advice is "small claims"!!!

I did it once, cost me $5 to file the claim and another few bucks to serve them using registered mail. You don't need a lawyer, just have your $hit together and be able to present in a clear concise way (with documentation to back it up). You'll say your piece. Judge asks their response... gives judgement. (worst case is you get nothing).

When I did it the once, (and was successful) I thought, why don't people do this more???

Check out how it works in Ontario.. I bet they have a web page that explains what to do.

Good luck.

Chris

ya sorry about that , im not the best at explaining things or spelling , and gets really bad in the am , you 'll notice the times i posted

so far still dealing with them to get as much done as they can do , at a diff midas of course , one city over though .
in the end i ll be taking it to ford for full inspect (dont believe they willingly tell me all damage or posible problems they may have caused)
in the end i'll ask them for any bill at ford and if not small claims , if worth it ,have too see this out to say may be no bill by then but the inspection

have to say ..for a large co. they 're verry rude uncooperative and agumentive
