I'd also second the Nakamichi CD400. Prices seem to be about $290 + shipping on ebay right now. Search for the review someone did on one on this board. He had quite a few pics, and the deck looked fantastic installed.

I have a Sony CDX-MP40. I paid about $275 CDN so it should be cheaper in the US. (pics are not the best) It plays MP3's too.

Obviously someone isn't the intended market for the Nak.

Yes my comment was directed at the Nakamichi CD400. However, after looking at the pics of it in the dash, it looks much better. The pic posted is of pretty bad quality. I really like the touch screen of the panasonic. The fact that it doesn't have any buttons protuding is very aesthetically appealing to me. Plus there is a certain coolness factor to the touchscreen. I do care about sound quality, but not enough to change out the stock speakers just yet. So you get the idea...

I got the impression you were looking for stock looks without the flash. The nak might not be for you.

ive got a panasonic mp3 player. I'd defintiely recommend getting an mp3 compatible one if you burn your own cd's. Instead of holding 14-17 songs on a regular cd player, mine can hold more than 200!

I have an Eclipse deck. Excellent SQ. I'm not sure who carries them in the US. I'll post a pic later if you like. In the meantime, here's the web page Eclipse Home Page
