Im bored and curious about something, and have searched every where i can think for an answer.

On the 1998 mercury mystique,
what colors were offered from the factory..

specifically, what color red was used.
was it "red", "dark red", or something else.

With my car being totalled out, and im looking on the edmunds website, the difference in what the car is worth about $100 believe it or not.

and..i have my eyes on another 1998 mystique with low miles for CHEAP.
we will see

According to paintscratch.com, there were three reds used on '98 Mystiques: Cabernet Red Pearl Clearcoat (code D6), Toreador Red Pearl Metallic Clearcoat (code FL), and Dark Toreador Red Pearl Clearcoat (code JL).

For the complete list, go to the website and plug in the year, make, and model.

Toreador Red was also used on Contour SVT's and offered from 1996-2000. Cabernet Red is a darker red, with a purplish hue to it. Like red wine.
