So should I check my spark plugs/wires and possibly replace them with new OEM ones?

I've been getting 370 to 420 miles on a tank of gas, and that's with 102K on my Duratec. Just the other day I put 14.7 gallons in, and that was after driving nearly 90 miles with the fuel light on! My g/f thinks I'm crazy .

I have that contour zetecs get best mpg above 80mph. Remember that contours and foci are shaped a good bit different. I get great gas mileage, never measured but I'm always flooring it around town and don't have to fill up too often.

The design of the ZX3 is considerably lighter and I believe less drag because of the hatch desgin!

I don't see how the hatch could make the drag any better.

Hey andy, I am running an intake with svt exhaust (different resonator), and 18's with 225/18/40's on them.

My wires and plugs are good within 10k, and my oil has about 2k or so on it, it is mobil 1 synthetic.

Sensor's? Fuel Filters? what should I look at, this is getting to be expensive especially since im a student, im getting 175 miles to 200.

I drove right at 300 miles, well it was a 6 hour drive at 65 to 80 mph but I got 31 mpg. Runnin a S&B true rev intake, 9mm plug wires, Autolight double plats and an SVT exhaust. Havent calculated it for daily driving, I'll do that later.

That's your problem right there heavvy rims kill gas milage!

The being a hatch, the ZX3 has less drag because the wind rolls easier off the high rear roof line rather than dipping back down like the contour does after the back doors. Again this is just my belief.
