Hey guys... I originally thought it was a stereo issue. FOr some reason I keep blowing the door lock fuse. I thought it was from some left over wires from an amp install, so i cut them all out and it still does it. I thought it was linked w/ that stuff b/c the stereo doesn't work when it blows either. It has worked fine until yesterday. the only things that have changed, was that on thursday I install a chip and it worked fine, then I detailed my car yesterda and used some armoral to get the dust out of the crevices in the dorr locks, now when i replace it, it works fine until I try to use the door lock button or the keyless entry to lock the doors,,,that's when it blows any ideas? Did I maybe hit something under the dash?

might not be any help m8 but i had this happen to me a while back
parked up my car, locked it via remote, went into the shops but when i came back out and tried to unlock the car it wouldnt work
got the car back home and tracked it down to a blown fuse, however i tried 3 more 20amp fuses and it just kept blowing
weird i thought as i hadnt been near anything for months
however put a 25amp fuse in there and its been fine ever since and that was over a month ago now

Well I guess I could try that... did you do any searching for wires grounding out or anything? I just thought maybe I hit something when I pulled the computer out. I guess it could be just a fluke of some sort.

On a related note, my cd player/dome light, and clock stopped working a few days ago. So tonight I finally had some time to go through the fuses and check 'em out. One fuse was blown, #35, which is listed in the manual as the right parking light or some crap like that, which is working fine. Well, it's a 7.5 watt fuse, so I tried replacing it, and the new fuse popped, so I tried a 10, just out of curiosity, popped as well. Looks like I got a shorted wire or somethin'. How should I go about this?

well i just tried a 25 amp...I guess we'll see if that fixes it. I imagine it is one of the door lock actuators that is pulling a bit too many amps or something. As far as checking...it is very time consuming, but I would check all te places that are most likely to crimp or tear a wire. Through firewall, door hinges, etc.
